2 Day Masterclass Working with
Primitive Defences in Marital Therapy
9th - 10th November 2013,
with US author Joan Lachkar,
Dr. Joan Lachkar from Los Angeles has joined our faculty and will
teach a high impact seminar on working with Narcissistic-Borderline
This Masterclass is based on Lachkar's
The Narcissistic/Borderline Couple (1992).
Drawing from many theoretical perspectives including classical psychoanalysis,
self-psychology, ego psychology, object relations, attachment theory, and
contemporary theorists, it offers specific treatment approaches, procedures and
techniques to explain the dynamics of the co-dependent couple. Lachkar
answers the question why couples stay in relationships that are painful,
conflictual, destructive, never ending or what she refers to as traumatic
bonding or ‘the dance’.
This Masterclass is endorsed by COSRT with 13 CPD hours.
